C.Von Nell- Breuning Kaseler Nies’chen Spatlese Trocken Riesling 2016

The Dominikaner Weingut C. von Nell-Breuning represents the rich heritage of wine making in Germany. Since 1670 our family has been devoted to the art of wine-growing in the Mosel and Ruwer. Beginning in 2013, Dr. Carmen von Nell-Breuning continues the family’s wine tradition into the 11th generation.The estate only produces elegant Riesling, Riesling sparkling wines, and delicately fruity Pinot Noir from the steep slate vineyards in the Ruwer Valley. This winery farms according to biodynamic principles.

The grapes for this wine come from Kasel vineyards.The steep slate slopes provide the perfect microclimatic for brilliantly fruity Rieslings: cool in winter and sunny with good breezes in summer. The barren slate soils imbue the wine with a distinctive taste with high levels of minerality. All work in the vineyards is done by hand, ensuring only the best grapes are selected at harvest.
