'The "Les Villages" is a Burgundian concept that blends grapes grown in various sites or villages to achieve a balanced and price-accessible blend. In this Niagara example, winemaker Thomas Bachelder has blended gamay from 5 individual small-lots, fermented separately with 28% whole cluster inclusion. The result is a delectably salty, lightly peppery, red-fruit dominated red. Light to mid-weight with chalky tannins and a refreshing backbone of acidity. A sophisticated, lively wine best appreciated in its youth.'
