Rural Wine Rural Pinot Noir 2019

The 2019 Rural Pinot Noir (Eagle Peak AVA) comes from fruit grown by the Fetzer brothers, with a splash of old vine Pinot Noir grown by longtime family friends, brothers Pete and Steve Johnson. The fruit was hand harvested and whole-berry destemmed into small open top fermenters. After a four day cold soak, and a ten day fermentation, the wine was pressed to French oak barrels for aging. The wine was sur-lie aged, with no racking until bottling.

WINEMAKER NOTES - Pure and zesty, with espressive red fruit flavors, accented by savory tea and spice. Fine tannins add to the elegant structure and velvity finish.
