Lake-effect and Bench-effect come together in the certified organic Saunders Vineyard. The “Bas” Pinot Noir block is in the lower part of the vineyard at a similar elevation to Hanck and Wismer-Parke but its proximity to the lake means it’s a warmer Bench site with a fleshier outcome. “A lovely core of raspberry-scented blackberries and dark fruit runs through this wine. A deft, medium-bodied, floral-scented wine with a pure-fruited finish.” – TB. Just 46 cases made.
